Gibson, Lefler & Associates was formed in 1989 with a specific mission of providing "state-of-the-art" trial and appellate representation to injured persons while at the same time providing the in-depth and personal counseling to injured persons customarily found only in small town general practitioners. The firm was founded by Michael F. Gibson, who has over thirty years of trial and appellate experience in the state and federal courts of West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio and North Carolina. Expanding to accommodate the needs of its clientele in litigation involving the FELA, Federal Tort Claims Act, Toxic Tort, Lender Liability and First Amendment litigation, the firm has three lawyers and an experienced support staff of seven paralegals. Gibson, Lefler & Associates has been recognized in the Martindale Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers in the fields of banking law, civil trial practice, personal injury law, medical malpractice law and criminal law.
